Cristian Altamirano, also known as KRISTO, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and currently resides in New York City. With a career spanning over 18 years, KRISTO has established himself as a versatile creative force, excelling in photography, directing, producing, cinematography, editing, and overall creative vision. His expertise encompasses diverse genres, including fashion photography, advertising, social documentation, journalism, animal documentaries, books, and art.
Kristo, alongside some rescue organizations, during the coronavirus pandemic, undertook the admirable task of rescuing more than 300 animals from a public nursing home in Argentina. It was at that moment that “lightkristo” was born. Since then, he has been involved in rescues, campaigns, photography, and video, dedicating his time and effort to helping animals. Currently, he resides in New York City and maintains a constant connection with the animal world.
